P5 Camp Resilience

Introduction

Every year, the Primary 5 cohort will participate in a 3D/2N Adventure Camp at one of four MOE Outdoor Adventure Learning Centers (OALC). Usually conducted in the first week of Term 3, the camp aims to develop Resilience and Ruggedness in our students, hence the name "Camp Resilience". Other learning outcomes include:

  1. Develop confidence, resilience, ruggedness and a positive mindset to face new challenges;
  2. Develop 21st century competencies such as critical thinking and sound decision making skills; and
  3. Develop the ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team.

During the camp, activities such as team building games, high and low rope elements and caving will be conducted. To end the camp with a bang, a campfire will always be held on the final night. This year (2018), the camp was successfully held on 28 - 30 June at Jalan Bahtera MOE OALC. Following are some highlights from the camp.
